How can we help?

Message views

The message view is the default view when opening the Auron Omni Manager application.

In the messages node in the tree on the left side of the Manager, you can see a number of other views as well. The default views All, Outgoing, Incoming, and Failed cannot be removed, but you can edit how many messages they show. In addition, Auron Omni includes views for all main message types. You can customize or remove those views.

You can also add custom views.

Refresh and pause

The active view refreshes automatically when new messages become available or when messages are modified.

You can use the refresh button in the toolbar to update the view if you start without automatic refresh. This can happen when you start the Auron Omni Manager while the Auron Omni service is not running.

Alternatively, you can use the pause icon in the toolbar or in the right-click menu to pause automatic refresh. This is useful when there is a flood of messages.

Basic column management

You can manage columns directly in the view. Resize and reorder columns by dragging the headers or their borders. Right-click a column header to automatically size a single column or all columns based on their content. You can also quickly change column visibility from the same menu.

Create or edit views

Create a new view by right-clicking the messages node. Edit a view by right-clicking the view.

This opens the Edit Message View screen. The message view has three tabs: Filter, Colors, and Columns.

Edit view filter

The filter works like a condition used for triggers or routing rules. Find an introduction to SQL syntax here.

First, enter a description and select the message type you want to view.

The buttons Insert field and Insert Constant provide available fields and constants. Text query checks whether the query is syntactically valid.

The limit defines the maximum number of messages the view shows. Showing too many messages at once may reduce performance.

Edit view colors

In the Colors tab, you can define colors for each message line.

This is a list of conditions and the colors applied when a condition evaluates to true for a message. These conditions use SQL syntax and can be modified.

Conditions are evaluated in order. The first matching rule is applied.

Click the pencil button to edit a color rule. This opens a dialog where you can adjust the condition and set foreground and background colors.

The column names are field names in the database. You can assign a more friendly name in the label column.
