Infobip SMS, WhatsApp, Viber


Infobip is an omnichannel communication platform. It supports sending and receiving SMS, Viber, and WhatsApp messages.

It is easy to use Auron Omni to integrate with Infobip by using the following steps.

  1. Open the channel view and click Create a new channel.
  2. Select Infobip.
  3. Provide your account details and select the send type in the channel wizard.

The following Infobip send types are available:

  • SMS
  • Viber
  • Viber + Media
  • WhatsApp
  • WhatsApp + Media

To automatically set up your Infobip integration, you need the following information from your Infobip profile:

Property Description
From Address This is the phone number associated with your Infobip account.
Base URL The Base URL from your Infobip account portal home page. This looks like https://xxxxxx.api.infobip.com.
Auth Header The Public API Key from your Infobip account portal home page. This is a 69 character alphanumeric key that looks like xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx. Prefix this value with App in the channel wizard.
Public IP Your public IP address. In most cases this is what appears when you search What is my IP in Google. This is used to format a URL where Infobip can send intermediate status updates about message delivery.
Support delivery reports Check this if you want delivery reports for your messages.
Scenario Key Every WhatsApp or Viber channel requires a different scenario key. Read more about how to create a scenario key.

Receiving messages or delivery reports with Infobip

When receiving messages or delivery reports, keep in mind that the Infobip API needs to make a callback to your server.

You need to enable port forwarding from your router to your server. If you are unsure how to do this, contact your system administrator or contact our helpdesk.
