How many messages per second can be sent/received using an SMPP channel?

With an SMPP channel, you should be able to send at least 20 messages per second or faster.

The actual throughput speed you get depends on a few things:

  • The connection speed to your provider
  • The processing speed of your provider
  • The speed and connection speed to your message database
  • The CPU speed of your server. We recommend a multi-core CPU.

Regarding the message database of Auron Omni, we recommend using a recent version of MS SQL Server installed locally on an SSD drive for optimal performance.
