Upgrade to Auron Omni

Upgrade from SMS Server versions 2020 and newer

Upgrading from the SMS Server is seamless. To start an automatic in-place upgrade just run the Auron Omni setup and follow the instructions.

Important upgrade notes:

• You’ll need a new license key for Auron Omni. This key is free if your SMS Server is in maintenance. Contact our support desk to to receive your new license key.
• Your installation and program data directories stay the same.
• The registry values are copied from HKLM\Software\Auron\SMS Server to HKLM\Software\Auron\Omni

Always backup your server and database before starting an upgrade.

Upgrade from WISe version 7.0 and newer

To upgrade the Auron WISe to Auron Omni please follow these steps:

1. Make a backup of your configuration (File -> Backup)
2. Uninstall Auron WISe
3. Install Auron Omni
4. Connect to the original WISe database. Omni will automatically upgrade.
5. Restore the backup of your configuration (File -> Restore)

Always backup your server and database before starting an upgrade.

Compatibility notes

• Imports configurations of any version of the SMS Server as well as the WISe.
• Local API, HTTP API and database structure are 100% compatible.
• All existing trigger scripts will run unmodified
