SMS Server – Manager Application

The SMS Server Manager has four main parts:

  • The menu
  • The navigation tree
  • The currently active view
  • The activity view

Menu

All functionality in the SMS Server is accessible through the menu and most of the menu options have corresponding toolbar icons.

Navigation tree

The navigation tree shows the hierarchy of objects that are managed in the SMS Server manager. These are:

  • Triggers. To run a small script when a message is received or sent.
  • Campaigns. Define the input sources for mass mailings.
  • Messages. Message views to see the inflow and outflow of messages and interact with it manually.
  • Configuration.
    • Channels. Integration with the outside world. (SMS, E-mail, File, HTTP API, etc..)
    • Routing. To guide outgoing messages to the right channel
    • Blocking. Block outgoing messages.
    • Options. These are the server options
  • API examples.
  • Documentation. Refers to this knowledge base.

The message view

This view changes depending on either the menu item or the navigation item.

Normally it shows a view of the selected configuration object.

Views are customizable and configurable. Find out more here.

Activity View

The activity view shows exactly what the SMS Server is doing at any time including the recent history.

The first items, with the blue gear are built-in server threads. The other items with ball icons are channels. The ball icons show the status of a channel. If an icon turns red or yellow it indicates a problem with the given channel.

The activity view highlights error in red and warnings in orange.

Right click in the activity view to open the log file.
