How many messages per second can be sent/received using an SMPP channel?

With an SMPP channel, you should be able to send at least 20 messages per second or faster.

The actual throughput speed you will get depends on a couple things:

  • The connection speed to your provider
  • The processing speed of your provider
  • The speed and connection speed to your message database.
  • The CPU speed of you server. We recommend A multi-core CPU.

The regarding the message database of the SMS Server we recommend to use a recent version of MS SQL Server installed locally on an SSD drive for optimal performance.
