The Auron SMS Server 2021 is an easy to use Windows application for quickly setting up customized SMS or E-mail based application.

Changes

  • Add the Android SMS channel for sending and receiving SMS through an Android smartphone.

Auron SMS Agent for Android

This version introduces the ‘Auron SMS Agent for Android‘ app. You can use the SMS component on your PC or server to connect to this app.

The app supports:

  • Sending and receiving through Android smartphones.
  • Unicode as well as multipart messages are supported.

The advantages are:

  • If you already have an Android phone then no additional hardware is required.
  • All networks that are supported by your smartphone can be used. GSM compatibility is not required.
  • Sending and receiving SMS is faster that through a normal GSM modem.

Compatibility

The SMS Server 2021 version 7.2.0 is fully compatible with the SMS Server 2020R2 7.1.2. Compiled code needs to be recompiled but no additional changes need to be made.

You will need a new license key to unlock this version. If you are an existing customer please contact us to receive your new registration key.

After applying the new license key you will need to ‘re-activate’ the SMS Server.

Upgrading

Please make an OS and database level backup of both your production server and production database before upgrading.

Perform an automatic in-place upgrade by running the installation of the SMS Server 2021 7.2.0 on a server that has an existing Auron SMS Server installation of any version.

The SMS Server 2021 7.2.0 can import a configuration (application level) backup of any previous version of the Auron SMS Server and ActiveXperts SMS Messaging Server after version 5.6.

Installation

To install for the first time download the installer here and follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
