System requirements
The Auron SMS Server runs on Microsoft Windows Server or Workstation platforms and requires a Microsoft SQL Server database for storage.
Microsoft Windows
These are the minimum requirements depending on OS for the Auron SMS Server:

Microsoft SQL Server
A SQL Server database is required for storing messages, archive and configuration data.
Either of the following SQL Server setups are supported:

| LocalDB 2022 or newer | LocalDB is included in the setup. However, LocalDB can only be accessed on the same server. Therefore we don’t recommend using LocalDB outside of the trial period. |
| SQL Server 2008 or newer | A local SQL Server 2008 installation is recommend when very high performance is required. |
| Azure database | Microsoft cloud solutions are fully supported. |
